The Cumbrian Traverse Lakes
Nearly there in 2005 (Wendy Dodds)
This is a south to north, high-level traverse of 21 Lakeland peaks involving over 30 miles and 12000 feet of ascent. Devised by Sue and Dick Courchee, it was first completed in 2005. It starts at Broughton Mills in Dunnerdale and finishes at the Moot Hall, Keswick, although it may be completed in either direction. The route complements the north-east to south-west line of the Joss Naylor Challenge but is intended as a more informal outing without time limits.
Route
The start is at the Village Hall, Broughton Mills (GR 223 907) and the finish is the Moot Hall, Keswick (GR 267 234). The 21 summits listed below must be visited, crossing Wrynose Pass and Honister Pass where a support vehicle can be located. Use OS Explorer Maps OL6 and OL4, South-West and North-West areas.

Simply email your name, date of completion, direction of travel and overall time to Martyn Price on cumbriantraverse@gmail.com. Any other relevant information such as summit times, weather conditions and whether the attempt was supported/unsupported is very welcome but not essential. The log will be updated twice a year. Retrospective submissions for 2012-17 are invited.
