Snowdon to Pumlumon North Wales

This run is a traverse of the three chief Welsh mountains of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Cadair Idris and Pumlumon. The idea was conceived and executed by Yiannis Tridimas in a solo run of 25 hours 28 minutes in May 2003. Nine other major summits were included on the way to give a route of some 78 miles and 22,500' ascent starting at Pen-y-pass and finishing at Nant-y-moch dam. Route

The route starts at Pen-y-pass car park, GR 647 556, and finishes at Nant-y-moch reservoir dam, GR 756 862. Use OS Explorer Maps (1:25000): OL 17 - Snowdonia & Conwy Valley, OL 23 - Cadair Idris & Llyn Tegid and 213 - Aberystwyth & Cwm Rheidol.
