John Fleetwood's Scottish Challenges Northern Scotland
When it comes to devising and executing long distance challenges in Scotland John Fleetwood has no peers. Since completing a winter Tranter Round some 20 years ago he has clocked up nearly 30 major mountain challenges. The location map and table below give an overview and summary. The statistics would be impressive enough without the fact they were all solo, unsupported unrecced attempts, using map and compass, spanning all seasons and all weathers. All in all, they represent an epic combination of endurance running and mountaineering.
